GREEN TEA THAT'S ACTUALLY GREEN

Our Tea Master has combined our signature ceremonial grade matcha with a special form of Japanese green tea called Fukamushi Sencha, which has been deep-steamed to draw out beautiful flavor and aroma. The result is a vividly green cup - unlike any green tea you've had before.

Our pyramid sachets provide optimal steeping by allowing the tea leaves to expand and the water to flow more freely. We chose to not include strings or tags in order to use less packaging, and also allow for better preparation of the tea - either by stirring when prepared hot, or shaking when prepared cold - this is important to ensure the matcha gets fully incorporated into your cup. The sachets are made from a plant-based, biodegradable material.

We package the sachets into an innovative box shaped pouch, with a resealable zipper and an oxygen absorber. This helps ensure the tea stays as fresh as possible between uses, without the need for wasteful individual envelopes around each sachet.


What makes our Matcha + Green Tea so special?

Matcha + Green Tea bags have been available in the U.S. for some time, though we always found them to be lacking in taste. Most use very cheap, late harvest sencha (or even other forms of green tea, like Chinese tea fannings) as the base, then add a very tiny amount of middle or low quality matcha. Our blend, in contrast, uses a first harvest, special form of Japanese sencha called Fukamushi, which has been deep-steamed to draw out even more beautiful flavor and aroma. To that, our Tea Master adds our signature first harvest ceremonial grade matcha - over 4 times the amount of matcha that is added into competing tea bag products! The result is a vividly green cup with sweet, umami notes - unlike any green tea you’ve had before.
