Matcha Cantaloupe Cooler Cocktail & Mocktail

Who's ready to switch things up? If you have a liquor license, we encourage you to experiment with creative and delicious matcha-based cocktails that will impress your customers!

Cocktail Ingredients

  • 3 oz freshly pressed cantaloupe melon juice
  • 0.5 oz simple syrup
  • 0.25 oz fresh lemon juice
  • 1-2 sage leaves
  • Pinch of salt
  • 1-2 tsp Barista Edition Ceremonial Grade Matcha, sifted
  • 2 oz of still or sparkling water (or club soda)
  • Ice
  • Optional: 2 oz tequila, mezcal, gin or vodka 

 

Cocktail Instructions

  1. Prepare your matcha: Whisk, shake, or froth matcha in 2 oz water until frothy. Set aside and let cool down if using warm water
  2. Add cantaloupe juice, simple syrup, fresh lemon juice, sage leaves and salt in a cocktail shaker (plus alcohol of choice if making a cocktail version!)
  3. Add ice and shake vigorously for 10-15 seconds
  4. Fine strain the cocktail into a tall glass filled with ice
  5. Pour your matcha over the top and mix with a spoon or straw. Serve!

 

Mocktail (Nonalcoholic) Ingredients

 

Mocktail Instructions

  1. Prepare your matcha shot: Whisk, shake, or froth matcha in 2 oz water until frothy. Set aside and let cool down if using warm water
  2. Add ice to a tall glass or plastic cup.
  3. Pour in cantaloupe juice and simple syrup — stir to combine.
  4. Top off your cocktail with the matcha shot and serve!
